The holiday house
The house is ready to welcome 4 – 6 persons, and in 2006 it was completely restored and rebuilt.
The original house was built with large granite blocks. The outside walls are still in perfect condition, hence helping to keep the house cool in summer and warm in the winter.
Layout of the house
Ground floor:

- ample sunbath space connected to the house
Provisions in the house:
- both bedrooms have double box-spring beds;
- kitchen provided with combined refrigerator/freezer, gas cooker, cooker hood, water boiler, coffee machine, washing mashine, vacuum cleaner and all kitchen requirements;
- living room with sitting area and dinette;
- the sofa bed in the living room provides two extra places to sleep;
- television set with receiver;
- bathroom with spacious shower, toilet, basin and urinal;
- the house is provided with a woodburner and two electric heaters;
- a cot is available;
- all linen (bedclothes, towels etc.) is included.
Garden with swimming pool
Quinta da Cal occupies a 1.5 hectare terrain, where you can find vines, fruit- and olive-trees, and many other trees and plants.
The swimming pool (size 11 × 4.65 m) was built in 2007.
The Eira: a big granite terrace that was used by the former owner as a place to dry the products from the land.
On this Eira there is a big barbecue.
Several spots for shade and shelter in the summer (the veranda, sunshades etc.).
The garden offers innumerable spots to enjoy the peaceful quietness without being disturbed.
The terrain has several wells and water mines.
Access to the Quinta
- by car: the last piece is a dirt track
- by foot: through an old Roman street (a few minutes from the village)
Tariff 2012
July and August: 650 euros per week / 95 euros per day for 4 persons.
The rest of the year: 600 euros per week / 90 euros per day for 4 persons.
5 or 6 persons: 50 euros p.p. per week in addition.
Additional costs: reservation fee 20 euros, final cleaning 50 euros.
